AWENDAW, S.C. - The Florida Gulf Coast University men's golf team finished round two of the Hootie Intercollegiate on Monday, remaining in seventh place at 15-under par after 36 holes at Bulls Bay Golf Club. The Eagles sit in a tightly packed leaderboard following rounds of 278 (-10) and 283 (-5).
Florida Gulf Coast turned in a steady performance in the second round of the Hootie Intercollegiate, remaining in seventh place at 15-under par. Sacha Ruiz paces the Eagles at 6-under after a 4-under second round, while Nolan Harper (4-under) and Sebastian Gamboa (3-under) continued to provide reliable scoring with balanced cards. Brett Moore sits at 2-under after a tougher second round, and Christian Figueredo rounded out the lineup.

Sacha Ruiz leads the Eagles at 6-under par (70-68), tying for 13th overall. Ruiz put together a strong second round, carding five birdies, including three on the front nine, to post a 4-under 68 and move up the leaderboard.
Nolan Harper is close behind at 4-under (69-71), tied for 19th. Harper recorded four birdies in round two, including one on the par-five 10th, and continues to rank among the field leaders with nine total birdies through two rounds.
Sebastian Gamboa finished the day at 3-under (71-70), tied for 26th. Gamboa delivered a steady second round with three birdies on the front nine and nine pars on the back, and his consistency has been key as he holds 29 pars, second-most in the field.
Brett Moore sits at 2-under (68-74), tied for 31st. Moore recorded three birdies in the second round but battled through multiple bogeys on the back nine, leading to a higher score after his strong opening round.
Christian Figueredo rounds out the lineup at 7-over (76-75), placing 80th. Figueredo improved in round two with a 1-under front nine that included a birdie on the fourth hole, but encountered trouble late in the round.
As a team, the Eagles have relied on consistency through two rounds, leading the field with 123 pars while adding 33 birdies.
