MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. - The Florida Gulf Coast University men's golf team wrapped up play at the Michael A. Marino Classic on Tuesday afternoon, finishing in 11th place at 11-over par at The Dunes Golf & Beach Club in a 16-team field.
Florida Gulf Coast was led by
Nolan Harper, who finished tied for 11th at 3-under and recorded a team-high 12 birdies across the tournament.
Sacha Ruiz followed with a consistent showing, tying for 30th at 3-over with nine birdies, while
Brody Stevenson, competing as an individual, finished tied for 48th at 6-over.
Christian Figueredo placed tied for 58th at 8-over, and both
Sebastian Gamboa and
Brett Moore tied for 63rd at 9-over, with Gamboa also tallying nine birdies, as the Eagles closed the event in 11th place.

Nolan Harper led the way for the Eagles, finishing tied for 11th at 3-under par following rounds of 66, 71, and 76. Harper remained in contention throughout the tournament before a challenging final round, and he paced the team with 12 birdies across the three rounds.
Sacha Ruiz finished tied for 30th at 3-over par after posting rounds of 72, 73, and 74. Ruiz delivered a steady performance throughout the week, recording nine birdies.
Competing as an individual,
Brody Stevenson placed tied for 48th at 6-over par with rounds of 75, 73, and 74. Stevenson put together a consistent tournament, highlighted by multiple birdies across each round.
Christian Figueredo finished tied for 58th at 8-over par after rounds of 77, 72, and 75. He bounced back with an even-par second round following his opening round and closed the tournament with a 3-over 75.
Brett Moore finished tied for 63rd at 9-over par following rounds of 76, 75, and 74. Moore bounced back in the final round with a more consistent showing, carding two birdies on the day.
Sebastian Gamboa rounded out the lineup, finishing tied for 63rd at 9-over par after rounds of 74, 72, and 79. Gamboa totaled nine birdies for the tournament and showed strong play through the first two rounds before a tough final round.
As a team, the Eagles recorded 44 birdies and 163 pars over the three rounds, highlighted by Harper's team-best 12 birdies. Gamboa and Ruiz each added nine birdies apiece, helping FGCU generate consistent scoring opportunities throughout the event.

The Eagles will remain in South Carolina to compete in the Hootie Intercollegiate on March 22-24 at Bulls Bay Golf Club in Awendaw, S.C., hosted by Charleston.
