Joseph Sullivan completed his PGA Tour appearance at the Valero Texas Open Friday at TPC San Antonio.
"It's definitely given me good experience," Sullivan said. "To play in a big PGA Tour event, everyone is always dreaming of it. It's definitely nerve-racking."
Sullivan began his day on a windy back nine. Through four holes, Sullivan stared down a +3 tally beside his name. Sullivan regrouped to produce four straight pars and sank a birdie on the par-5 18.
The Eagle smashed a 413-yard drive down the 18th fairway, the second-longest drive of the tournament.
The Englishman also birdied holes five and eight but ended his round with a double-bogey en route to a four-over 76. He also birdied the eighth during round one and dialed in a 39-foot birdie putt on 15 the same day.
Sullivan (+7) shot a three-over 75 in Thursday's opening round, missed the cut (E) by seven strokes, and officially finished tied for 131st on the leaderboard.
Sullivan hit eight of 28 fairways facing a daunting, steady breeze in Texas and landed 19 of 36 greens.
In September, Sullivan punched his ticket into the tournament field as automatic qualifier, winning the first annual Valero Texas Collegiate in three-way playoff. Sullivan sank his tournament-clinching birdie on the second playoff hole.
