FORT MYERS, Fla. - Florida Gulf Coast University's women's tennis team dropped a 6-1 decision against Austin Peay State University Sunday in Clarksville, Tennessee.

The Green & Blue (8-8, 3-2 ASUN) lost the doubles point to begin the day but
Amelia Kopel evened the score with a 6-2, 7-5 win on court No. 6.
The Governors (7-6, 3-1 ASUN) retook the lead when
Paloma Goldsmith dropped her match 6-2, 6-4 on court No. 3. APSU took full advantage and never looked back as
Ida Ferding fell 6-4, 6-3 before
Fanny Norin pushed on court No. 1 through three sets but was defeated 3-6, 6-2, 6-1 by Jana Leder, who clinched the match for the Governors.
Austin Peay pushed its lead to five as
Isabella Colmenares won her first set 6-4 but was defeated with a 7-6, 1-0 score on court No. 2.Â
Jordana Ossa also won her first set 7-5 but ultimately dropped the match with a 7-5, 1-0 score on court No.4 as the Governors took the conference matchup.

The Eagles will now return home to host the University of North Florida (7-7, 2-1 ASUN) Thursday at 5 p.m.
