FGCU Women’s Tennis announces 2026 fall schedule

Eagles host Cincinnati, Memphis and UConn at Bonita Bay in November

FORT MYERS, Fla. – Florida Gulf Coast's women's tennis team begins its path towards an Atlantic Sun Conference Championship on Sept. 25 as head coach Courtney Vernon announced her team's fall 2026 schedule on Tuesday.

FGCU will compete in four fall tournaments and host Keiser in an exhibition match on Oct. 5. The fall season wraps up with the team's annual marquee event, the Bonita Bay Collegiate Open, on Nov. 6-8 at the Bonita Bay Club in Bonita Springs.

During that tournament, FGCU will face UConn (Nov. 6), Cincinnati (Nov. 7) and Memphis (Nov. 8) in flights (non-dual match competition).
 
Women's Tennis Fall 2026 Schedule


The fall season gets underway on Sept. 25-27 as FGCU travels north to Tampa to compete in the Bedford Cup. Hosted by USF this fall, the Bedford Cup was created to feature the top collegiate tennis players from all Division I programs in Florida. It is sponsored by the Youth Tennis Foundation (YTF) of Florida and is ran with funds donated by the Edward T. Bedford Foundation.

Following their trip to Tampa, FGCU returns home to host Keiser. That exhibition match will take place on Monday, Oct. 5 at 1 p.m. at the FGCU Tennis Complex.

The Eagles then head south to Coral Gables on Oct. 14-18 for the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Southeast Regional Championships. Then on Oct. 24-25, FGCU heads to the Atlantic coast for the Battle of Boca hosted by FAU.
