Florida Gulf Coast University's women's tennis team capitalized on home-court advantage to defeat Miami University 6-1 at the FGCU Tennis Complex Saturday.

The Green & Blue (6-5, 2-0 ASUN) lost the doubles point to begin the morning.

The Eagles immediately responded in singles as Paloma Goldsmith got straight to work, winning on court No. 4 with a 6-1, 6-4 showing. FGCU No. 1 player, Fanny Norin followed along storming to a 6-3, 6-2 victory.
Isabella Colmenares pushed the Green & Blue lead to 3-1, delivering a 6-4, 6-3 showing on court No. 2.
Ameila Kopel fought through her first set, winning 7-6 (4) before remaining persistent and executing another 7-6 (1) showing to clinch the match on court No. 6.
The Eagles' dominance continued as Ida Ferding rallied through three sets to prevail with a 6-7 (6), 6-2, 1-0 (3) victory at No. 5. Jordana Ossa ensured the Eagles took all the singles points going 5-7, 7-5, 1-0 (7) on court No. 3.
