Eric Oncins and
Hugo Magnusson took the win on doubles court one in a 4-0 loss to No. 66 Santa Clara on Sunday.
Oncins and Magnusson made quick work of their doubles match, finishing first by a score of 6-2. The doubles point was at 1-1 when
John Zakowski and
Mika Bunjes had three game points on serve. They were unable to convert and the doubles point went to Santa Clara.
In singles action, Santa Clara took the first three courts to clinch the match. Courts one, four, and five all went unfinished but the Eagles were playing all tight. Zakowski was ahead one set on court five, Bunjes was up a game in set three, and Magnusson was serving down 3-2.
Up next for the Green and Blue is a home match against Toledo.
