Weather impacts 2019 ASUN Men's Tennis Championship

DELAND, Fla. - The FGCU men's tennis match between the No. 1 Eagles and No. 4 Kennesaw State was suspended earlier this afternoon due to weather. The weather has affected the overall schedule of the 2019 ASUN Men's Tennis Championship.

FGCU was up 1-0 after clinching the doubles point at the time that the weather made the semifinal match unplayable at Stetson's Mandy Stoll Tennis Center.

Beginning on Saturday at 9 a.m., the Green and Blue will pick up the match against the Owls right where it was left off. The semi between No. 2 Liberty and No. 3 UNF will resume at that point, as well.

The final round of the championship, which was originally slated for 1 p.m. on Saturday, will now be played at 10 a.m. on Sunday.

Where the teams left off:
Doubles play:
1. Felipe Escobar / Mateo Ruiz (7-5)
2. Marcelo Tebet / Juan Montes (6-5)
3. Feliksas Sakalauskas / Felipe Ramirez (6-2)
Order of finish: 3, 1

Singles play:
1. Juan Montes (1-0)
2. Felipe Ramirez (1-1)
3. Felipe Escobar (3-0)
4. Marcelo Tebet (1-1)
