@FGCU_MGolf To Host Homewood/Hilton Garden FGCU Classic

FORT MYERS, Fla. – The FGCU men's golf team will host the Homewood/Hilton Garden Airport and FGCU Classic on Sunday and Monday at Old Corkscrew Golf Club to conclude the fall season.

"The team is ready to compete and have the home course advantage," FGCU head coach Eric Booker said. "I feel confident, and they do, too. We have some individuals on our roster who will help prove our depth on the team is strong."

The two-day, three-round event will begin with 36 holes at 8:30 a.m. on Sunday and conclude with 18 more on Monday starting at 8 a.m. Live stats will be available through Golf Genius, and we'll post results each day at FGCUathletics.com.

Golf Genius is a mobile app that can also be viewed via your desktop. The direct link to the event can be found here, and the password to view the scoring is JQEXRH.

Booker will be utilizing the following lineup beginning Sunday:

The Green and Blue has posted three top 10 finishes this fall and is coming off an eighth-place result at the Pinetree Intercollegiate last Monday and Tuesday. Andrew Potter has led the team with a 71.33 average, including six par-or-below rounds over nine total, including a pair of sub-70 results.

COACH BOOKER
FGCU is led by fourth-year coach Eric Booker, a member of the PGA Tour and Web.com Tour (formerly the Nationwide Series) for portions of 17 years from 1990-2007. He has led the Eagles to a pair of wins in limited-field events the last two years, in addition to a tie for 1st at Stetson's Legacy Intercollegiate in February of 2018. Booker finished in the top 5 three times in tournaments on the PGA Tour, and also played in the U.S. Open and PGA Championship. He played in 62 career events on the PGA Tour, with his best finish being a tie for 3rd at the 1999 Honda Classic.
