FORT MYERS, Fla. – The contest between the FGCU women's tennis team (2-8) and the No. 26 Notre Dame (7-4) was rained out Tuesday afternoon. The match will not be rescheduled.
Despite a vigilant fight in the doubles action, FGCU failed to capitalize on the deuce point opportunities and dropped matches at the No. 1 and 2 slots. Rain moved into the area shortly after, forcing the teams to halt competition. The Irish return to South Bend this weekend and will be unable to make up the match.
