Men's Tennis Swept by Florida Atlantic

FORT MYERS, Fla. – The FGCU men's tennis team fell victim to another non-conference opponent, losing 7-0 to the Florida Atlantic Owls at the FGCU Tennis Complex on Friday afternoon.  FAU swept all three doubles matches to claim the doubles point, and didn't let up at all in the singles competition.  Thibaud Aime, playing at the #1 position, challenged Marc Abelnour in the second set, but was defeated, 6-2, 7-5.  At the #2 slot, Danny Lee fought all the way to a first-set tiebreak, but he also lost, 7-6 (10-6), 6-1.  The Owls dominated the Eagles at the #3-6 positions, winning the four matches without dropping a set, and losing only nine of the 57 games in the process.  With the loss, the Eagles fell to 0-5 on the season.  FGCU will be off for a couple weeks, with their next match scheduled for March 6th at 2:00 PM at the University of North Florida.
