Opened the year at the FAU Invite (Aug. 31) with a 5k time of 15:29.77 for a 4th place finish overall … Placed 18th overall at the Fordham Fiasco (Sept. 8) with an 8k time of 27:03.76 … Finished 133rd overall in the Paul Short Run (Sept. 29) with a season-best 8k time of 25:52 … Ended the regular season with an 8k time of 27:07.36 (5th overall) at the USF Invite (Oct. 12)  … Clocked an 8k time of 26:46.8 for 36th overall at the ASUN Championship (Oct. 26).

Competed in six races and finished in the top-10 on five occasions this season … became just the third FGCU runner to earn ASUN All-Conference First Team honors and paired with Luka Ndungu to become the first duo to take home first-team honors in the same season … turned a pair of the team’s top-five times in both the 5k and 6k as well as its 4th best time in the 10k … began his career at FGCU with a 6th place finish in 15:50.9 at the FAU Invitational (Sept. 2) … won his next race after crossing the finish line in 15:53.03 at the UNF Invitational (Sept. 10) … following his performance, he earned ASUN Runner of the Week honors … placed 8th with a time of 26:00.66 at the Mountain Dew Invitational (Sept. 24) … ran a season-best time of 25:20.14 and finished 4th at the Upstate Invitational (Oct. 1) … his time registers as 7th best all-time … finished 7th at the ASUN Championships (Oct. 29) in a time of 25:34.65 … his performance was the 3rd best in program history … went on to finish 98th with a time of 32:59.7 at the NCAA South Regional (Nov. 11) and helped FGCU place four runners in the top-100 of the NCAA meet for the first time in program history.

As a Sophomore at FIU (2015)
Started the season with a pair of top-three finishes at the FAU Invitational (15:37.50) and UCF Invitational (26:36.30) ... finished 20th in a field of more than 300 at the Mountain Dew Invitational in a season-best time of 26:21.00 ... crossed 9th at the USF Invitational in a time of 26:36.90 ... finished 52nd in the C-USA Conference Championship. 

As a Freshman at FIU (2014)
Had an outstanding rookie season for the cross country team, winning three of the seven meets he ran …  ran his best 8K at the UCF Cross Country Invitational (25.11.70) … during the indoor track season, was part of the men’s distance medley relay that took second place at the Winston-Salem State Open … best race times were 8:38.59 in the 3K and 14:51.24 in the 5K.

High School
Ran for coach Alex Shaw at Miami Sunset High School ... 2013 First Team All-Dade cross country and 2013 All-State cross country athlete ... four-time state qualifier ... holds the men's 3200m school record (9:31) ... two-time district champion (2012, 2013) and 2014 GMAC Champion in the 3200m.

Born on May 30, 1996 … son of Maury Gonzalez … has one sibling – Nathalie Tablada … criminal justice major … chose to transfer to FGCU because of his relationship with Cassandra Goodson and his desire to win a conference championship.
