Ran 26:52. 1 at the FSU Invitational and lowered his time to 26:44.2 at the Crimson Classic. 

2022:
Finished 30th with a time of 16:58.6 at the UCF Invite... Crossed the line ninth with a time of 26:56.9 and helped the Eagles with the team title at the USF Invite.

Before College:
Placed seventh at the 2021 FHSAA 4A Cross Country Championship after winning both the district and regional titles ... Also took ninth in the in the 1,600 meters (4:23.00) at the 2022 FHSAA Championships after placing third in the district and fourth in the region ... Performance in the 1,600 meters set a new school record for the event which he had previously held ... At the regional meet, took eighth in the 3,200 meters ... Was named the Lennard High School Athlete of the Year.

Born May 13, 2003 ... Son of Esperanza Lopez and Israel Gamez ... Has four siblings: Jasmine, Miguel, Edgar, and David ... Intends to major in business ... Chose FGCU because of the cross country program and the diversity of majors.
