Played in 24 games, averaging 10.3 minutes per game...Averaged 1.6 points per contest...Intended to redshirt, but played due to injuries on the roster...Saw his first action with 11 minutes at Mercer...Hit the game-winning 3-pointer with 0.8 to go in overtime in a win over Florida Memorial (12/22)...Scored a bucket in the win over FAU (12/30)...Scored five against North Florida (1/6)...Scored three points with three rebounds against Queens (1/10)...Scored three in a win over Stetson (1/20)...Scored six points in nine minutes at Eastern Kentucky (2/7)...Scored two points in a win at North Florida (2/28).
As a Freshman [2022-23]:
Played in 11 games … Hit 11-of-21 shots from the floor (52.4 percent) … Registered two steals and two blocks on the season … Posted a season-high eight points to go along with three boards against Ave Maria (11/13) … Snagged four rebounds against FAU (12/7) and Mercer (12/10) … Chipped in eight points against the Bears (12/10) … Added three points and a board against Austin Peay (2/24).
Before College:
Took a postgraduate season at IMG Academy in 2021-22 after playing his junior and senior prep seasons at Neumann-Goretti Catholic High School in Philadelphia ... Helped Neumann-Goretti, the No. 1 ranked team in Pennsylvania, win the 2020 Philadelphia Catholic League title during his junior campaign ... During his postgraduate year with IMG, he finished the 2021-22 campaign by averaging nearly 20 points and 10 rebounds over the squad’s final 12 games of the season ... Prior to playing for Neumann-Goretti, Vespe played for St. Augustine Prep in Richland, N.J.
