As a Junior (2021-22)
Finished 40th on the 1m at the NCAA Zone B Championships in Atlanta...  Placed 4th on the 1m with a personal-best score of 293.80 at the CCSA Championships... Qualified for NCAA Zones in 1m with 270.68 points at the Eagle Invitational (Nov. 18-20)...  Also posted a season-best score of 256.88 on the 3m at the Eagle Invitational...  Finished third in both the 1m and 3m in meet against Vanderbilt (Oct. 16)

As a Sophomore (2020-21)
Advanced to the finals in both diving disciplines, finishing fourth in the 3m (244.85) and fifth in the 1m (240.40), at the CCSA Championships...  Finished fifth on the 1m (250.13) against FIU...  Placed third on the 3m with a score of 244.88 against Miami...  Set personal-bests in both the 1m (283.60) and the 3m (273.80) at the Eagle Invitational.

Advanced to the 2020 NCAA Zone ‘B’ Diving Championships, where she competed on the 1m board … Placed 52nd overall in the competition, which featured just a few non-Power 5 programs … Advanced to scoring finals on both the 1m and 3m boards at the 2020 CCSA Conference Championships … Placed fifth on the 3m board (261.15) and seventh on the 1m board (250.05) … Was named CCSA Diver of the Week after pacing the Eagles during the meet against Miami (Jan. 21).

Attended Ursuline Academy, where she dove for Coach Dave Wolkoff … Dove with the Cincinnati Diving Academy under Coach Kevin McElheney … Was a member of the National Honors Society.

Personal
Daughter of Kelcey and Barry Nelson … Has two siblings, Gunnar and Darby … Chose FGCU because of the athletics and academics … Favorite sport moment is the feeling of learning a new dive and coming out so proud of herself … A fun fact about her is that she was named after a Jimmy Buffett song called “Delaney Talks to Statues” … Her dad played golf at Wisconsin … Is a pre-nursing major.
