FORT MYERS, Fla. – Florida Gulf Coast softball head coach Lindsay Fico announced the addition of Olivia Stefanoni to the Eagles' coaching staff on Wednesday. Stefanoni will serve as FGCU's pitching coach.

"Olivia is someone I'm really excited to have on our staff," Fico said. "She's passionate about pitching and, more importantly, she loves developing pitchers and helping them get better every day. I think she'll do a great job of building relationships with our pitchers, figuring out what each one needs, and helping them reach their potential. I'm excited to see what she can do with this group and the impact she's going to have on our program."

"I'm incredibly grateful and excited for the opportunity to join FGCU Softball," Stefanoni said. "I cannot wait to bring what I've learned throughout my softball career into coaching. I'm fortunate to work alongside a staff that puts its players first and shares a relentless passion for the game. Previously, Stefanoni pitched for one year at Pitt and three at Akron. She led Pitt with 39 appearances, 104.1 innings pitched and 66 strikeouts as a senior. She took all three starts in a conference series against Syracuse, including a complete game win and a save after reentering in the final game of the series. Stefanoni tossed nine combined scoreless innings across a series with Boston College, earning a win and a save. As a Zip, her best season came as a junior, when she held a 3.09 ERA across the 2023 campaign.
