FORT MYERS, Fla. – Florida Gulf Coast softball head coach Lindsay Fico announced Julia Moore as the ninth signee out of the 2026 transfer portal on Wednesday.

"Julia brings valuable experience in the circle after competing at a high level throughout her career," Fico said. "Her toughness, competitiveness, and ability to rise to the moment will be a great addition to our pitching staff, and we're excited to have her join the Eagles."

Moore spent one year at Division II Young Harris College, where she delivered a sparkling 1.34 ERA and 15-5 record. She logged 135.2 innings, striking out 123. Moore limited opponents to just a .208 average and registered a 0.98 WHIP. The Conference Carolinas Freshman of the Year and D2CCA First Team All-Southeast Region selection, she swept the conference Freshman of the Month honors. Moore was tabbed twice as the Conference Carolinas Pitcher of the Week, and received CSC Academic All-District honors. She rounded out her freshman year accolades academically on the school's President's List.

In high school, Moore was named all-county and all-region in 2023 and 2024, and earned an all-state selection in 2024. She played at Sequoyah HS for head coach Lisa Chapman, and played club at GA Impact for coach Ryan Carver. She graduated high school with honors and a 4.5 GPA.

The daughter of John and Cathy Moore, Julia has two siblings, Lily and AJ. She will major in accounting at FGCU and aspires to be a CFO.
