JACKSONVILLE, Fla.- A pair of Florida Gulf Coast Eagles were honored by the ASUN on Monday as Sarah Greiner was named the league's Player of the Week while Lily Borders was the week five Defensive Player of the Week after each netted a goal and helped FGCU to a 2-0 shutout victory over High Point Saturday.

Greiner is the second Eagle this season to earn ASUN Player of the Week honors after converting a late penalty kick as well as helping FGCU to their third shutout of the season in a 2-0 win over High Point Saturday. The goal was Greiner's third of the season, tying her for second in the ASUN while her 19 shots and 10 shots on goal this year are tops in the league.

Borders earns ASUN Defensive Player of the Week honors for the first time in her career after scoring the eventual game winning goal early on for the Eagles Saturday against the Panthers, as well as steadying the back line for the 2-0 shutout. Borders has been a stalwart on the defensive end for the Eagles, playing 626 of 630 minutes FGCU has been on the pitch this season.

"I am really proud of these guys" FGCU head coach Jim Blankenship said. "They were both tremendous again on Saturday, on the defensive side as well as pushing up and contributing to the attack."

The Eagles closed out nonconference action at 3-1-3 and unbeaten in four home contests. They will have an extended break before taking the field again on September 24^th at home at Pickering Field when they host Queens in their 2026 ASUN opener at 7 p.m.
