FORT MYERS, Fla. – Florida Gulf Coast University Athletics will host its 16th annual Night at the Nest Gala on Thursday, Dec. 10, 2026, at the Hyatt Regency Coconut Point Resort & Spa. Marking the first venue change ever for the event, the new location provides an elevated setting for FGCU Athletics' signature fundraising event, which brings together alumni, fans, community leaders and supporters for an evening of celebration, connection and impact benefiting more than 265 FGCU student-athletes. The change reflects updates to FGCU's academic calendar, with commencement activities now taking place in Alico Arena during the gala's traditional timeframe.
Building on the momentum of a record-setting 2025 event that generated nearly $1.5 million, the 2026 gala will introduce guests to a new experience at the Hyatt Regency Coconut Point, featuring an energetic cocktail reception, live auction and dining experience.
This year's event invites guests to help "build the nest" by investing in the strategic resources and championship opportunities that fuel student-athlete success for Your Hometown Team. From scholarships and wellness initiatives to facilities, infrastructure and proven leadership, proceeds from Night at the Nest strengthen every aspect of the FGCU Athletics experience.
"The success of our student-athletes is made possible by far more than what happens on game day," said Lauren Leister, FGCU Interim Director of Athletics. "Night at the Nest gives the Southwest Florida community an inside look at the people, resources and initiatives that help our student-athletes thrive while providing critical support for the future of FGCU Athletics."
Reservations will be available for $3,000 per table of 10. Sponsorship opportunities are available now and a limited number of individual tickets will be offered. For more information, visit
