FORT MYERS, Fla. – Florida Gulf Coast softball's quartet on the ASUN All-Academic team added a second academic honor with CSC Academic All-District selections.
ASUN Scholar-Athlete of the Year Olivia Black was joined by
Victoria Ash,
Nikki Gibson and
Sophie Wylie on the All-District team. Black had a perfect GPA in forensic studies to earn the first ASUN Scholar-Athlete of the Year distinction for FGCU softball.
The 2025-26 Academic All-District® Softball teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes men's basketball honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
Academic All-District® honorees were considered for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot.
Student-athletes selected as CSC Academic All-America® finalists are denoted with an asterisk and will advance to the national ballot to be voted on by CSC members. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced June 16, 2026.
Outstanding student-athletes are nominated for Academic All-District® recognition by
communications directors and must have a minimum 3.50 GPA and meet high athletic standards.
