DELAND, Fla. – After hitting an impressive .400 with six hits in 15 at-bats, Florida Gulf Coast outfielder
Jeremy Comer was named to the Atlantic Sun Conference All-Tournament Team Saturday evening.
Comer was impressive throughout the week in DeLand, highlighted by his two home runs on Wednesday that propelled the Eagles to a 6-3 win over Central Arkansas. He also went 2-for-5 in the elimination bracket final against North Alabama on Saturday, driving in two runs while drawing a walk.
He posted a .400 average, .471 on-base percentage and .800 slugging percentage over the four games while also making eight putouts in the field.
A native of Shawnee, Kansas, Comer came to FGCU from Johnson County (Kan.) Community College and was a redshirt sophomore this season. He still has two more years of eligibility following this year.
This marks the fourth consecutive year FGCU has placed someone on the ASUN All-Tournament Team. His recognition marks the 25
th ASUN All-Tournament honor awarded to a member of the Green & Blue.
