CLEARWATER, Fla. – Florida Gulf Coast beach volleyball (18-13) split its pair of Friday matches with a 5-0 loss to No. 5 Florida State (27-2) on Friday afternoon.

The Eagles were unable to take a set off of the dominant Seminoles. The pairs of Nicole De Oliveira & Erin Miller, along with Vanessa Moriarty & Sydney Majick, each lost 21-14, 21-19 for the closest contests of the match.

Next, FGCU takes on No. 13 LSU at 9 a.m. on Saturday, April 18.
