FORT MYERS, Fla. – Florida Gulf Coast beach volleyball (4-4) is set to take a trip to the Lone Star State for the TCU Invitational on March 6-7.
The Eagles will face off with No. 6 TCU, Texas A&M-Corpus Christi and Houston Christian over the course of the weekend in Fort Worth.Â
FGCU will play TCU twice after falling to the Horned Frogs 3-0 at the FSU Tournament last weekend in Tallahassee. The defending national champions moved up one spot to No. 6 in the AVCA Collegiate Beach Volleyball poll and are 7-1 heading into their first home tournament of 2026.
Texas A&M-Corpus Christi enters at 4-4 on the campaign. The Islanders swept Austin Peay 5-0, took 3-2 wins over Coastal Carolina and Chattanooga, and knocked off Tulane 4-1. Against their two common opponents with FGCU, the Islanders fell 4-1 on the road to South Carolina and lost 3-2 to South Florida. FGCU and Texas A&M-Corpus Christi will meet again one week later in the Stetson Spring Invitational.
Houston Christian comes into the TCU Invitational at 1-7 in 2026. The Huskies' lone win was a 3-2 victory against Tarleton State. HCU has ranked losses to No. 3 Cal Poly and No. 12 LSU, among others.
