FORT MYERS, Fla. – Florida Gulf Coast beach volleyball (6-6) returns to Florida for its lone five match tournament of 2026 at the Stetson Tournament on March 13-14.
The Eagles begin the weekend at 11 a.m. on Friday, March 13, against Texas A&M-Corpus Christi for the second time in as many weeks. FGCU took down the Islanders 3-2 last week in Fort Worth behind wins from the pairs of

Andrea Dietz/
Sydney Majick and
Nicole De Oliveira/
Erin Miller. The Islanders sit at 5-7 on the campaign entering the tournament.
North Alabama heads into the Stetson Tournament at 6-4 with wins over UAB, Southern Miss and Cal State Bakersfield. The Lions took a 4-1 win over Houston Christian to FGCU's 5-0 win, and also fell to Florida State 5-0.
UAB has a 7-6 record through three weeks of play. The Blazers boast wins over No. 18 Washington, Tulane and Cal State Bakersfield, with losses to North Alabama, Long Beach State and Loyola Marymount. The Blazers had identical results against its two common opponents with FGCU, losing 5-0 to Florida State and sweeping Houston Christian 5-0.
Southern Miss enters at 3-9 on the season with wins over Tarleton State, Stephen F. Austin and Houston Christian. The Huskies represent the lone common opponent between the Eagles and Golden Eagles; FGCU defeated HCU 5-0 and Southern Miss won 3-2. The Golden Eagles have faced five ranked opponents, including Cal Poly, LSU and Arizona State.
FGCU will round out its regular season series against No. 15 Stetson. The Hatters are 11-5 entering their home tournament, and won the first meeting between the two squads 3-2. Stetson also lost to Florida State, and dropped contests against ranked opponents in USC, Loyola Marymount and Long Beach State, but has wins over Santa Clara and South Carolina.
