Men's tennis wins ITA All-Academic Team

FORT MYERS, Fla. - Florida Gulf Coast University men's tennis was named a 2025 ITA Division I All-Academic Team with nine of the 10 players being named ITA Scholar Athletes.

"I'm very proud of our guys this year," head coach Josh Molino said. "They worked extremely hard on the court, in the community and most importantly in the classroom. This group set program records for team GPA in the fall and the spring semesters and won the program's first community service award. Nine ITA scholar athletes is a tribute to where the program is and the standard moving forward."
To be named an ITA Scholar-Athlete, one must meet the following requirements:
  • Have a grade point average of at least 3.5 (on a 4.00 scale) for the current academic year
  • Be listed on the institutional eligibility form
To be named an ITA All-Academic Team, programs must meet the following requirements:
  • Have a team grade point average of 3.2 or above (on a 4.00 scale),
  • All student-athletes included should be listed on the institutional eligibility form, and
  • All varsity letter winners should be factored into the cumulative team GPA for the current academic year
