FORT MYERS, Fla. – Florida Gulf Coast University women's tennis heads to University of North Florida Friday and then welcomes No. 12 NC State Monday.
The match versus UNF (10-5, 5-0 ASUN) will take place at 11 a.m. at the UNF Tennis Courts in Jacksonville. The Ospreys hold a 19-4 advantage over the Green & Blue (11-7, 5-2 ASUN), but FGCU has won the last two matchups.
FGCU defeated UNF 4-0 last year in the Atlantic Sun Conference Championship semi finals on April 19 in Fort Myers.
The match between FGCU and NC State (11-5) will begin at 10:30 a.m. on Monday and will be only the second time both teams have met. The Wolfpack delivered a 7-0 victory against FGCU on February 20, 2016, in Raleigh, North Carolina.
FGCU is coming off a 4-3 victory at North Alabama Sunday, while UNF defeated UCA 5-0 last Friday. NC State defeated No. 25 Georgia Tech 4-3 Sunday.
Anjali Kotecha holds a 13-4 record in singles and was named this week's ASUN Player of the Week for a second time this season.
Kotecha and Francisca lead the Green and Blue with a 7-4 mark in doubles action mainly playing on court No. 3.
