FORT MYERS, Fla. – Florida Gulf Coast University beach volleyball will host the FGCU Inaugural Tournament starting Friday at the R.O.C. The two-day event will showcase five premier beach volleyball programs, four of which are currently ranked in the Top 20 or receiving votes.

No. 14 FIU, No. 19 North Florida, No. 20 Stetson, (RV) South Carolina will join FGCU in Southwest Florida. Five matches are scheduled for Friday and Saturday, starting at 8 a.m. on Friday with FGCU facing No. 14 FIU. The Eagles then face off against South Carolina at 2 p.m.

On Saturday, FGCU renews pleasantries with ASUN foes No. 19 North Florida at 10 a.m. and wraps up the tournament with No. 20 Stetson at 4 p.m. FGCU is 3-3 on the year with wins over North Alabama, Southern Miss and Eckerd.

Kaitlyn Luebbers enters the weekend with 76 career wins, just seven wins away from setting the FGCU record.
