Women's tennis heads to Lipscomb Friday and UNA Sunday

FORT MYERS, Fla. – Florida Gulf Coast University women's tennis prepares for two away matches, first battling Lispcomb in Nashville Friday at 10:30 a.m. EST. before heading to North Alabama Sunday for an 11 a.m. match.

The Green and Blue (10-6, 4-1 ASUN) dominates the series 15-2 over the Bisons (8-5, 2-2 ASUN). The Eagles delivered a 4-3 victory on April 20, 2024.

Against UNA (11-2, 4-0 ASUN) FGCU is 3-0 and won 5-2 on March 17, 2024.

FGCU is coming off back-to-back 7-0 sweep victories defeating Queens (N.C.) last Friday and Eastern Kentucky Sunday. Isabella Colmenares was named this week's Atlantic Sun Conference Player of the Week after delivering two doubles and a pair of singles wins.

Anjali Kotecha holds an 11-4 record in singles and Nora Svensson and Paloma Goldsmith lead the Green and Blue with a 7-7 mark in doubles action mainly playing on court No. 2.
