FORT MYERS, Fla – Florida Gulf Coast University baseball looks to bounce back this week as they face FAU at 6:30 p.m. followed by a weekend series at UNF.
The Eagles were swept by ASUN and DI newcomers West Georgia over the weekend. FGCU was outscored 14-4 during the series.
Mac Moise got a hit in every game over the weekend including a home run in the finale while also drawing three walks.
Evan Dempsey turned in the longest appearance of his FGCU career toeing the rubber, going 5.1 innings only allowing one earned run and striking out five in the series finale.
Following this week, the Owls and Eagles will face each other again, this time at Hammond Stadium, home of the Fort Myers Mighty Mussels, on Tuesday April 1 followed by a home Atlantic Sun Conference series against Jacksonville.
