FORT MYERS, Fla. – Florida Gulf Coast University recognizes
Aidan Corn of FGCU baseball and
Isabella Colmenares of FGCU women's tennis as the Suncoast Credit Union Scholar Athletes of the Month for February.
Corn, a junior outfielder from Venice, Florida, has made an early impact in the 2025 season, batting .478 over the first five games. He delivered a standout performance against Stony Brook with four RBIs, helping to power the Eagles' offense. Off the field, Corn is pursuing a degree in Entrepreneurship and holds a 3.48 GPA.
Colmenares, a senior from San Cristóbal, Venezuela, reached a significant milestone this season by earning her 50th career singles victory. A consistent contributor to the Eagles' success, she was named to the Second Team All-Atlantic Sun Conference. Colmenares is majoring in Management and maintains a 3.44 GPA.
The Suncoast Credit Union FGCU Scholar Athlete of the Month award recognizes student-athletes who excel both academically and athletically.
