JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The Florida Gulf Coast University men's tennis team continued on with their fall slate of tournaments at the Fall Individuals, hosted by North Florida from Oct. 23-26.

In singles action,
Pablo Paternostro opened up with a qualifying round three-set win over UT Arlington's Finbar McGarvey. In the round of 32,
Jonathan Baron stormed back after a set one loss to defeat Vineet Ramesh 0-6, 6-2, [10-2].
Tanner Povey earned a hard-fought victory over Stetson's Xavier Sarda Marti 6-4, 2-6, [11-9], while
Hugo Magnusson showed composure in a three-set battle against Bellarmine's Matthew Nice, winning 6-4, 4-6, [10-5]. Baron, Povey, and Magnusson came up short in their highly competitive round of 16 matches.
In doubles play, Paternostro and Magnusson advanced to the quarterfinals after a 7-5 win over Stetson's Mihnea Maftei and Kartik Mandla. The duo's run would come to an end in the quarterfinals, as they fell 6-3 to Eastern Kentucky's Joao Barreto and Fernando Bulnes Garrorena.

The Eagles gear up to host the Bonita Bay Collegiate Invitational from Bonita Springs, Fla. on Nov. 7-9.
