FORT MYERS, Fla. – Florida Gulf Coast women's soccer will celebrate its nine seniors on a Sunday afternoon Senior Day against Queens.
FGCU's seniors are
Emma Badger,
Lauren Dwyer,
Kendal Gargiula,
Elena Hinkson,
Megan Morgan,
Nellie Nygren,
Lindsey Saad,
Haley Slouka and
Erika Zschuppe.
The previous contest against the Royals was also the last loss for FGCU, and the only setback in conference play. Queens scored a fifth-minute goal and the Eagles were unable to convert any of their 19 shots, nine of which were on goal.
Zschuppe, who didn't play in the first game against Queens, is on a senior season tear. The Kirtland, Ohio, product leads the NCAA with 18 goals on the season. Zschuppe's Thursday goal gave her eight consecutive games with a goal dating back to Sept. 11. That mark is the longest active goal scoring streak in the NCAA this season.
Engle (13) and Colorado's Hope Leyba (14) are the only other players in the country with more than 12 goals in 2025. Zschuppe also leads the country in total points with 37, although her margin is slightly slimmer in that category. Xavier's Samantha Erbach has 34, Engle has 31; Leyba and Tulsa's Jordan Frederick follow with 29 apiece.
The most consecutive games with a goal in FGCU women's soccer history belongs to Tabby Tindell, who also holds the program record for goals and goals in a single season. Tindell netted a goal in ten consecutive outings in 2016. Zschuppe's eight straight games with a goal is the second longest streak in Eagles' women's soccer history.
Zschuppe is also within striking distance of Tindell's single-season program record for goals (20) with three regular season games and the ASUN Tournament still to play.
Gargiula has had an excellent season in her own right. Her seven goals are second on the team and are tied for fifth in the ASUN. The North Fort Myers native also has three assists.
FGCU clinched a postseason berth with Thursday's win over West Georgia, joining Lipscomb in the ASUN tournament. The Eagles control their own postseason destiny, with a 1-0-1 record against Jacksonville and a 2-0 mark against North Florida. The Dolphins and Ospreys sit in second and third place in the Graphite Division, respectively, with two games to play.
