JACKSONVILLE, Fla.- Coming off of a 2025 ASUN  Graphite Division regular season title, the Florida Gulf Coast Eagles have been picked atop the ASUN Preseason Poll again for the 2026 campaign as announced by the league on Monday. Along with the team honor, Kate Friday, Ryanne Robinson, and Maya Henley Buisan were all named to the Preseason All-ASUN Team.

FGCU earned 58 points including a pair of first-place votes to earn top billing in the Preseason Coaches Poll, four points ahead of Lipscomb who led all teams with four first-place votes. Jacksonville and North Florida each received a first-place vote and slotted in third and fourth in the poll while Bellarmine, Queens, Stetson, and newcomer West Florida rounded out the poll.

The Eagles went 8-1-1 in league play a season ago to claim their 12^th ASUN regular season championship all-time. They caught fire down the stretch, going 6-0-1 in their final seven contests, outscoring their opponents 32-2 to bring the trophy home to Fort Myers.

Friday, Robinson, and Henley Buisan were all named to the Preseason All-ASUN Team. The Eagles three selections were more than any other conference foe.

Friday started all 18 games for the Eagles a season ago, ranking sixth on the club with 1,389 total minutes played. She scored her lone goal of the year against Florida and tallied four assists for six total points.

Robinson had an outstanding freshman year for the Eagles in 2025, earning Third Team All-ASUN honors as well as being named to the ASUN All-Freshman Team. She started all 18 games on the backline as a rookie, logging 1,471 minutes which ranked second among field players on the team. She spearheaded a defense that totaled nine shutouts on the year and also picked up a pair of assists on the season.

Henley Buisan is the most veteran player on the Eagles 2026 roster, entering the season having played 59 caps in the Green and Blue. She was a Third Team All-ASUN performer in 2024 and backed that up with a career high three goals and six assists during the 2025 campaign to earn the preseason billing this year.

The Eagles open their 20^th anniversary season on Wednesday at home at Pickering Field when they take on Houston out of the Big 12 at 7:00 PM in Fort Myers.
