FORT MYERS, Fla. – Florida Gulf Coast women's soccer head coach
Jim Blankenship announced the 2026 campaign on Wednesday.
The Eagles' 2026 slate is highlighted by a five game homestand that encompasses all of September, three power conference opponents and three marquee in-state nonconference matchups, including a pair of contests against FAU and FIU at Pickering Field.
Season tickets to see the Eagles take on FAU, FIU and more are on sale now.
"We're excited for the opportunity to get back on the field and have an exciting schedule," Blankenship said. "We feel it will prepare us for another ASUN championship run."
FGCU returns Third Team All-ASUN and All-Freshman team selection
Ryanne Robinson, All-Freshman team honoree Madara Matrevica, and captains
Kate Friday,
Lily Borders and
Hanna Phillips to lead the 2026 squad.
The Eagles open at Pickering Field with an exhibition against Miami-Dade at 11 a.m. on Aug.6. The regular season kicks off at UCF at noon on Aug. 8. The Eagles and Knights will meet for the first time since 2022, with FGCU seeking its first win over the in-state foe.
The home slate begins with a tilt against another Big 12 foe in Houston at 7 p.m. on Aug. 12. FGCU will take on the Cougars for the first time ever in the home opener.
A three-game road trip follows, first at Georgia Southern at noon noon on Aug. 16, before FGCU heads to Louisiana for a pair of matches at Southern and LSU on Aug. 20 and 23, respectively. FGCU holds a 2-0 series lead over Georgia Southern, while the Eagles are 1-0 against Southern and 0-1 against LSU. The trip to Louisiana to play Southern and LSU will be the first trip to the Bayou State in program history.
FGCU will end the month of August August by starting a five game homestand that will continue through the entire month of September.
The homestand begins against FIU. Blankenship is 13-2-2 against the Panthers, with a 6-2 mark at Pickering Field. The sides will meet in Fort Myers for the first time since 2022 at 1 p.m. on Aug. 30. September opens with FAU at 1 p.m. on Sept. 6. The Eagles are 3-1-1 and 1-0-1 at home against the Owls; like FIU, FAU will make its first trip to Fort Myers since 2022.
The Eagles renew a series with High Point at 4 p.m. on Sept. 12 for the second meeting overall and first since August 2023. The two squads played to a draw in their first matchup. The nonconference slate will end against an opponent to be determined.
FGCU's homestand continues with the start of ASUN play. Queens heads to Fort Myers at 7 p.m. on Sept. 24, and the Eagles welcome West Florida to the conference at 1 p.m. on Sept. 27. FGCU is 3-1-1 overall and 2-0-1 at home against the Royals, and will face the Argonauts for the first time in program history.
As the calendar turns to October, the Eagles travel north to Lipscomb, at 7 p.m. on Oct. 1, and Bellarmine, at 1 p.m. on Oct. 4. FGCU will battle the Bisons for the first time since 2024 after Lipscomb secured the ASUN Championship and an NCAA Tournament appearance in 2025. The Eagles are 11-3-6 against Lipscomb and are 4-1-1 against Bellarmine, with a 3-0 mark against the Knights in Louisville.
FGCU wraps up its home slate with conference games against North Florida, Jacksonville and Stetson. The Eagles aim to extend their seven-match win streak against the Ospreys at 7 p.m. on Oct. 8, face off with Jacksonville at 1 p.m. on Oct. 11 and look to continue a 10-match win streak against Stetson at 1 p.m. on Oct. 18. FGCU has controlled the all-time series against its in-state conference foes, with a 19-3-1 advantage over the Ospreys, a 15-3-7 series lead over the Dolphins and a 20-1-1 record against the Hatters.
The Eagles reprise the home trio of contests with a road trip to UNF, Jacksonville and Stetson to end the regular season. FGCU spends a weekend in Jacksonville against the Ospreys at 7 p.m. on Oct. 22 and at 1 p.m. on Oct. 25 against the Dolphins. The regular season finale is set for 4 p.m. on Oct. 31 at Stetson.
The ASUN Women's Soccer Championship will run from Nov. 5-14 at campus sites. The Eagles will seek a return to the NCAA Tournament for the ninth time in program history and the first time since 2023.
