Rolle Earns Preseason All-ASUN Honors as Eagles Tabbed No. 1 in Conference Polls

FORT MYERS, Fla. - Cerina Rolle was named to the Atlantic Sun Conference's Preseason All-ASUN team as Florida Gulf Coast University was selected to finish first in both the ASUN's coaches and media polls, the conference announced Friday.

"We're appreciative of the respect shown by the coaches and media in selecting us preseason No. 1," says Head Coach Raina Harmon. "Rankings are nice, but what truly matters is that we stay committed to our process and where we are come March. I'm also really proud of Cerina Rolle for earning this preseason recognition. She's earned it through her consistency and the level she's playing at right now."

The redshirt senior is coming off a campaign in which she started all 34 games, averaging 24.1 minutes, 7.3 points, and 4.4 rebounds per game for the championship-winning Eagles. She reach double-figures in 10 games last season, with her best outing coming against West Georgia, where she recorded her season-high 12 points.

As Rolle heads into her third year of competition with the Eagles, she was named a captain of the team because of her leadership and accountability.

FGCU earned six first-place votes in the preseason coaches poll and 36 first-place votes in the preseason media poll. Central Arkansas emerged second in the polls.
