Men's tennis to face Florida

FORT MYERS, Fla. – Florida Gulf Coast University men's tennis will travel to Gainesville, Fla. to face the University of Florida at 4 p.m. on Sunday.

The Eagles (1-4) are coming off their first win of the season, a 6-1 decision against Southern Mississippi. The Gators are 3-2 for the season, having only lost to No. 7 Columbia and No. 15 Florida State.

Both FGCU and UF faced Florida State during the season. Both teams lost 4-0 to the Seminoles.

Hugo Magnusson is coming off an ASUN Player of the Week Award, his first of his career.

Florida has the No. 41 and 106 singles players in the country with Jeremy Jin and Henry Jefferson and the No. 16 and 76 doubles teams in the country with Jefferson and Tanapatt Nirundon and Jin and Kevin Edengren.

Following this match, the Eagles will travel back to Orlando on Feb 13 and 14 to face Air Force and Navy before returning home for their home opener, a doubleheader against Auburn.
