FORT MYERS, Fla. – Florida Gulf Coast University Athletics, in collaboration with Suncoast Credit Union, announces Michael Duax of Men's Basketball and Lousiane Gauthier of Women's Golf as the Suncoast Credit Union Scholar-Athletes of the Month for January.

Michael Duax, a Biology major with a perfect 4.0 GPA, has been a consistent contributor for the Eagles on the court. During the first half of the season, Duax appeared in 13 games, earning six starts and averaging 4.5 points per game.

Lousiane Gauthier, majoring in Software Engineering with a 3.67 GPA, had a standout fall season for FGCU Women's Golf. Gauthier won two individual tournaments and played a pivotal role in helping the Eagles capture three team titles.

The Suncoast Credit Union Scholar-Athlete of the Month program celebrates FGCU student-athletes who demonstrate exceptional academic performance while making meaningful contributions to their teams.
