FORT MYERS, Fla. - Florida Gulf Coast University men's tennis announced its 2024-25 schedule on Tuesday. The fall slate is highlighted by the Bonita Bay Classic, hosted by FGCU November 8 with the spring schedule featuring only two matches outside Florida and 75 percent (9 out of 12) of matches past March happening at the FGCU Tennis Complex. Admission is free to all FGCU tennis matches.
"We are very excited for our '24-25 schedule," head coach
Josh Molino said. "Our fall is highlighted by our home tournament. We have a loaded field with teams from the SEC, ACC and Big 12. Our spring schedule, featuring nine great home matches, will prepare us with NCAA Tournament caliber teams so we are prepared for the Atlantic Sun Conference."
The fall schedule features a trip to Orlando and Gainesville for the ITA Southeast Regionals and Bedford Cup, respectively before returning to Fort Myers for the Bonita Bay Classic November 8.
The spring slate starts on the road on January 11 with matches against Florida State (1/11), UCF (1/17), Florida (2/2) and Miami (2/21) all on the road. Auburn comes to Fort Myers on February 16 for a doubleheader starting at 10 a.m.
When March comes in the Eagles stay home for a seven match home stretch beginning on March 4 against Furman at 10 a.m. FGCU gets a one week break before hosting VCU on March 11 and starting a stretch of six home matches in 12 days.
Atlantic Sun Conference play concludes on April 13 with the tournament starting on April 17 in Jacksonville.
