FORT MYERS, Fla. - Florida Gulf Coast University men's soccer will travel to Statesboro, Georgia, Friday to face the Georgia Southern Eagles at 7 p.m. The game will be streamed on ESPN+.
The Clash of the Eagles has been in the favor of FGCU. The Green and Blue are 3-0-1 all-time against Georgia Southern. Last year's match, played at FGCU, ended in a 0-0 draw. The average score of the four matches is 2.25-0.25 in favor of FGCU.
FGCU enters the match with an 0-2 record after two matches in North Carolina. In both matches, the Green and Blue had clean sheets into at least the 89th minute. In the Elon match, FGCU conceded the winning goal with 46 seconds left while NC State scored the deciding goal with 1 minute and 55 seconds left on the clock.

Georgia Southern played Wofford to a 0-0 draw in its season opener as currently sits on a 0-0-1 record. Georgia Southern faces four ASUN schools in its non-conference schedule, half of all ASUN men's soccer teams.

Lucas Windschauer was named to the Atlantic Sun Conference's Preseason All-Conference Team.
