FORT MYERS, Fla. – Florida Gulf Coast University's beach volleyball team will head to the Tampa Invite this weekend for four highly competitive matches.

The Eagles (7-3) get started Friday at 9 a.m. taking on Coastal Carolina (4-4) before battling Houston Christian (1-7) at 3 p.m. Saturday at 10 a.m. the Green & Blue faces host No. 20 Tampa (5-5) before a battle against No. 4 Florida State (7-0) at 2 p.m. 

FGCU is coming off a 5-0 home sweep against Eckerd and a close 3-2 defeat by Tampa. 

This will be the 12th match-up between the Eagles and the Chanticleers, with the Eagles dominating the series 11-0. FGCU has played HCU three times and never lost. FGCU leads the series 7-4 against Tampa and the Seminoles have a 4-0 advantage over the Eagles.
