FGCU set for split doubleheader against Western Michigan and Sacred Heart

FORT MYERS, Fla. - Florida Gulf Coast University softball returns home on Wednesday for games against Western Michigan and Sacred Heart. These are games four and five of a stretch of 12 games in 10 days.

The Eagles recently played at the USF Tournament coming home with two wins in three games. In the Central Michigan game, the Green and Blue extended their winning streak to 36 games when scoring six or more runs. In the Georgia Southern game, FGCU extended its winning streak to 20 games when stealing three or more bases.

The Georgia Southern game also marked the fifth Eagles vs. Eagles matchup for the Green and Blue this year, which FGCU now owns a 3-2 record and is on a three-game winning streak.

After the split doubleheader, the Eagles host the FGCU Spring Break Classic from March 8-10 and a double header against USF on March 11.
