FORT MYERS, Fla. - Florida Gulf Coast University men's tennis honored their seniors against Kennesaw State University on Saturday.
Eric Oncins and
John Zakowski were given a special ceremony with their families on court one in between doubles and singles.
The match ended 6-1 in favor of the Owls.
The Eagles won the doubles point in dramatic fashion. Oncins and
Hugo Magnusson won on court one 6-3 to give the Green and Blue the one court lead in the doubles point.
After the doubles point was drawn even, the point came down to court two. The match came down to a breaker which
Harry Michalowski and
Pablo Paternostro won 7-4 to secure the doubles point 7-6(4).
Single action did not go in the favor of the Eagles, with the Owls winning on all courts.
