FORT MYERS, Fla. - Florida Gulf Coast University men's tennis dropped a non-conference match up against DePaul University on Tuesday, 6-1.
The Eagles fought a close doubles point.
John Zakowski and
Ninad Raut won on court three 6-3, winning six of the final seven games, to draw the double point even at 1. The doubles point eventually came down to a tie breaker on two which went to Depaul 7-2.
FGCU rolled out only five singles players for the match.
Mika Bunjes dominated on singles two with a 6-0 win on court two. After staying even at 3-3 in set two, Bunjes won the next three games to settle the match at 6-3.
Up next for the Green and Blue is a return to ASUN play against University of North Florida on Thursday.
