FORT MYERS, Fla. - Florida Gulf Coast University men's tennis defeated the University of North Carolina Asheville Bulldogs on Monday, 4-2.
The Eagles took the doubles point by way of a win on court two with the doubles team of
Pablo Paternostro and
Harry Michalowski took their match, 6-2.
Eric Oncins and
Hugo Magnusson secured the doubles point with a court one victory, 6-4. Oncincs/Magnusson move to 7-1 on the season.
With momentum on their side, the Green and Blue started their path to victory with a win on singles court four when
Mika Bunjes took the match, 3 and 4. Philip Bosse got back to his winning ways with a win on singles court three, 4-6, 5-7, 1-6.
All eyes turned to
Harry Michalowski on court six with the match in a breaker and the team match on the line. Michalowski came through with the 7-4 victory in the breaker to take the match.
Up next for the Eagles is ASUN competition against Lipscomb on Friday.
