Eagles split final day of Stetson Spring Fling

Florida Gulf Coast University's beach volleyball team split two matches on the second day of the Stetson Spring Fling in DeLand, Florida, Saturday.

The Eagles (3-1, 0-1 ASUN) first delivered a sweep over Eckerd College (0-4) before falling 4-1 to No. 16 Stetson University (4-0, 1-0 ASUN) at the Stetson's Cooper Beach Courts.  After Kacie's Johnson win this morning she is now tied with coach Snowy Stokes for the most wins in program history at 69.
"We came out very strong in every aspect of the game in our first match of the day," said head coach Chris Sweat. "We came out and looked great in the first set of every pair, but Stetson showed why they have been so dominant these last couple years.
