FORT MYERS, Fla. – The 2024 FGCU beach volleyball season officially gets underway this weekend as the Eagles head to the Stetson Season Opener at the Cooper Beach Courts.
The tournament begins at 10 a.m. Friday, with the Green & Blue taking on Southern Mississippi, and then facing Mercer at 2 p.m. FGCU then takes on Eckerd Saturday at noon before playing host Stetson at 4 p.m.
FGCU is coming off a 19-18 record last spring that included two victories over top-20 programs. The Eagles picked up wins over Austin Peay and North Florida in the Atlantic Sun Conference Championship Tournament before falling to top-seeded Stetson.

FGCU has never faced Southern Miss and this will be the 24th matchup between FGCU and Mercer, with the Eagles leading the series 16-7. The Eagles have played Eckerd 10 times before and lead the series 9-1 while being 4-31 against Stetson.
