Bramwell Havi produced the eighth-best 8k time in program history to lead Florida Gulf Coast University men's cross country team at the Atlantic Sun Conference championships in Jacksonville, Florida.
"The men's team had an okay day. They executed the race well at the beginning and helped each other on the course, but the goal was top six," said head coach
Argeo Cruz. "I look forward to seeing them compete again at the NCAA South Region."
Havi stopped the clock at 24:52.2 and took 31st place.
Abel Ramos and
Evan Crane were side by side crossing line in 55th (25:28.0) and 56th (25:49.4) respectively.
Nekhi Perry produced a 25:50.4 showing and finished 58th.
Hector Toro was next for the Green & Blue, finishing 64th and stopping the clock at 26:13.2.
Franklin Caceres crossed the line in 26:24.2 and in 68th place.
Dylan Torres ran 27:09.9 and took the 84th spot while
Mitchell Curtis stopped the clock at 27:51.7 and finished 97th to round out competition for the Eagles.
FGCU will return to action Nov. 15 at the NCAA South Regionals hosted by Florida State University in Tallahassee, Florida.
