Posie Farrelly and
Lousiane Gauthier each sit in the individual top five after 36 holes of play at the Hurricane Invitational in Coral Gables, Florida, as Florida Gulf Coast University's women's golf team sits in second place just eight strokes back of the lead.
The Eagles held a share of the lead with Miami after the first round; however, Miami shot a 284 in round two compared to a 292 for FGCU. That difference gives the hosts the lead heading into the final day.
Gauthier had rounds of 71 and 72 to sit in fourth place at one-under-par. Farrelly had consecutive 72's to sit at even par through 36 and in a tie for fifth.
Leonie Wulfers had a 73 in the first round and a 76 in second to hold a share of 26th place.
Amelie Alcantara had a countable round of 74 in round one, with
Islay Benoit's even-par 72 counted for the Eagles in round two.
Competing as an individual,
Sydney Deal rebounded from a tough first round to shoot a 72 in round two.
FGCU will look to complete the comeback in Tuesday's final round at The Biltmore, with a shotgun start set for 8:30 a.m.
