FORT MYERS, Fla. – The FGCU men's soccer team aims to continue their winning streak as they enter ASUN play and head to Jacksonville on Friday night at Southern Oak Stadium. The Eagles enter the match at 3-0-1 overall while the Dolphins are 2-2-1. The match is set for a 7 PM kickoff and will be streamed on ESPN+.

The Eagles are coming off a thrilling 3-2 victory over defending SoCon Champions Mercer last Sunday with the game-winning goal coming from graduate Aedon Kyra (Sydney, Australia) in the final minute.

Both Kyra and senior Davi Alves (Belo Horizonte, Brazil) lead the Eagles' offense with two goals each on the young season. Kyra earned ASUN Player of the Week on Tuesday after scoring two goals in two games which included his game-winning goal at Mercer.

Wyatt Kistner's (Midlothian, Va.) shutout against Georgia Southern was his third of the season after a 1-0 win against Power 5 Northwestern back on Aug. 26 as well as the season-opening scoreless draw at South Florida. His performance against the Wildcats earned him ASUN Goalkeeper of the Week on Aug. 30.
The Eagles last defeated the Dolphins back on Sept.18, 2021 with a 2-0 decision in Fort Myers, and lead the overall series 13-5.

FGCU is ranked second in this week's United Soccer Coaches Atlantic Regional Poll and was one of only three ASUN schools with Lipscomb being No.1, and Liberty coming in at No. 4.

The Dolphins enter the match following a 4-0 defeat at Lipscomb on Saturday after dropping a 3-2 decision at Wofford on Monday. Both Oliver Correa and Cao Chaves have scored a pair of goals for the season. Jabari Gray is the keeper of record with a 2.80 goals-against-average and a 0.632 save percentage.
