Tournament Nuggets
The No. 1 seed is 64-14 (.821) all-time in ASUN tournament history. The top seed has advanced to the championship game in 26 of 33 all-time ASUN Championships.

The tournament's No. 1 seed has advanced to the championship game in each of the past seven seasons. The last time it didn't happen was in the 2010-2011 when No. 2 Stetson took down No. 5 Jacksonville. Interestingly, that was the last year prior to FGCU gaining Division-I postseason eligibility. This is the third time the Eagles will face Kennesaw State, but the first time they've met since back-to-back quarterfinal wins in 2012 and 2013 over the Owls.

Since gaining Division-I postseason eligibility in 2011-12, FGCU has won five of the seven ASUN Championship titles (2011-12, 2013-14, 2014-15, 2016-17, 2017-18). In the lone two years they didn't win, they still advanced to the championship game (2012-13 and 2015-16). With last year's title win, the Eagles broke the all-time ASUN record for most postseason tournament titles, breaking a tie with Stetson who won in 1988-89, 2004-05, 2010-11 and 2012-13.

FGCU is one of four active ASUN members to win the ASUN tournament along with Stetson (1988-89, 2004-05, 2010-11, 2012-13), Jacksonville (2015-16) and Lipscomb (2003-04).

Tournament History
The Eagles are 20-2 all-time in the ASUN tournament over seven plus appearances, including Friday's win over NJIT. They have entered as the No. 1 seed in seven of the eight appearances, made it to the final every year and captured the championship five times.

Here's a look at how each current ASUN team has fared in the tournament's history, sorted by total wins, and a year-by-year look at FGCU's game-by-game history:

Kennesaw State Notes
- The Owls are looking their fourth ASUN tournament win in program history, after recording victories in 2011, 2017 and this season.
- Amani Johnson captured the ASUN Freshman of the Year award. She is third Owl in a row to win the award after Carlotta Gianolla won it in 2016-17 and Kamiyah Street earned it last season.
- Kamiyah Street was named First Team All-ASUN, which is just the second time in program history that a Kennesaw State player has been named to the first team.
- Amani Johnson is coming off one of her most impressive performances of the season. The freshman netted a career-high 21 points to go along with seven rebounds and five assists.
- After not capturing a road win during the regular season, the Owls stunned No. 2 seeded Stetson in the quarterfinals. With the win Wednesday, the Owls would advance to the finals for the first time in program history.
- KSU is looking for its first win against FGCU this season.
- Kamiyah Street comes into the semifinals having shot 521 times this season, which is a program record.
- The Owls recorded their largest margin of victory in program history over an ASUN conference opponent versus Lipscomb.
- Kennesaw State is the only program with two players in the top-15 in the country in minutes per game.
- Kamiyah Street was featured on ESPN Sportcenter's Top 10 plays (No. 9) with her last-second shot to force overtime against North Alabama. She won ASUN Player of the Week on Feb. 25 for her play against UNA and FGCU.

Rebounding Star
Tytionia Adderly became just the second player in program history to eclipse 800 career rebounds in Friday's quarterfinal win over NJIT. She now has 816 and trails Sarah Hansen (887, 2010-14) by just 72 rebounds in her quest for the top spot.

Furthermore, after previously tallying 13 rebounds twice in the ASUN tournament, the junior forward increased the record by one on Friday. She is now just six offensive rebounds shy of breaking Hansen's all-time record of 329 and is tied with Candy Myers (141, 2003-06) for the eighth-most steals in a career.

On top of all that, Adderly now owns 466 rebounds in Alico Arena, which breaks Sarah Hansen's previous record of 463 from 2010-14. She previously broke the arena's career offensive rebound mark.

A Shot In The Arm
Redshirt-junior guard Davion Wingate has given the team some juice off the bench by averaging 16.5 PPG over the past two contests. She has put together her first back-to-back double-digit scoring performances of the season after previously recording four performances with 10 or more, including a career-high 28 on Dec. 14.

Better Off Single
FGCU held conference opponents to a single-digit quarter 21 times in conference play. They kept that tradition going in the quarterfinal by holding NJIT to single-digits twice.

COACH SMESKO
FGCU head coach Karl Smesko led the 2017-18 Eagles to another historic season. The Green and Blue finished 31-5 overall and 13-1 in ASUN play, capturing the program's eighth ASUN regular season championship and fifth ASUN tournament championship. The team finished the season ranked 25th in the final USA Today Coaches Poll, recaptured the NCAA record for most 3-point field goals made in a season with 431 and advanced to the NCAA Tournament for the fifth time in seven seasons, where the Eagles knocked off 5th-seeded and No. 15 ranked Missouri in the opening round. It was the team's second tournament win over the past three appearances. Over the course of the season, FGCU knocked off three ranked teams - No. 15 Missouri, No. 20 Kentucky and No. 21 DePaul.

Over the past four seasons, Smesko has guided FGCU to three 30-plus win seasons while recording a 121-23 (.840) record overall. The now eight-time ASUN Coach of the Year rallied the 2016-17 team to its seventh straight 25-win campaign, culminating in an ASUN tournament title and NCAA Tournament appearance. In 2015-16, he was named the espnW mid-major coach of the year following a run that witnessed the Eagles claim a WNIT runner-up finish and a Division-I program best ever 33-6 record. In 2014-15, the team achieved its first-ever top-25 ranking and made another trip to the NCAA Tournament, where the Eagles earned a No. 7 seed and won the program's first-ever NCAA Tournament game, toppling No. 10 seed Oklahoma State.

Including 2018-19, Smesko has guided the Eagles to 15-straight 20-win seasons and nine-straight 25-win seasons. He maintains a record of 522-118 (.816) overall in his career, including a 186-16 (.921) mark in ASUN play. Over the past eight seasons (including 2018-19), he has guided FGCU to a 124-4 (.969) record in conference play with five undefeated seasons. Smesko earned his 400th career coaching win in 2014-15 in just 493 career games, two games faster than UConn's Geno Auriemma. Entering 2018-19, he ranked among an elite list of just four active Division I coaches with a career win percentage of .800 or higher, joining Auriemma, Baylor's Kim Mulkey and Stanford's Tara VanDerveer in the esteemed group. Second-year NCAA Division-I head coaches Nancy Fahey (Illinois) and Bart Brooks (Belmont) pushed the list to six.
